Shannon Docherty
Kia ora, my name is Shannon and I am the Centre Manager at All About Children Apollo Drive. I have been working in Early Childhood Education for over 15 years and hold a Bachelor of Teaching in Early Childhood Education. During this time, I have had the privilege of leading teaching teams and supporting high-quality learning environments where tamariki feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.
Outside of work, my partner and I are busy raising our three boys, aged 16, 14, and 8. I am originally from Scotland and have always had a strong passion for advocating for children and ensuring they are safe and respected in their environment. I believe early childhood should be a place where children feel secure to explore and develop a lifelong love of learning.

We absolutely love All About Children- Apollo Drive! The teachers are incredible – always warm, friendly, and genuinely invested in the kids’ wellbeing. Both of our children attend and absolutely love going to “school” each day. It’s such a comfort knowing they’re in a caring, nurturing, and fun environment. We enrolled our son at this daycare when he was just 8 months old, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the very beginning, the teachers have been incredibly caring, attentive, and patient. Our little one is always happy and excited to go each day, and it’s clear he feels safe and loved there. We absolutely love All About Children- Apollo Drive! Our son started a couple of months ago and had a bit of a tough transition, since he had mostly been around adults and wasn’t used to being with other kids. But the wonderful team at the preschool welcomed him with so much care and patience. He has blossomed in such a short time! He absolutely loves the 5-star food menu, and every day he comes home happy after playing and learning with his lovely teachers and new friends. We’re so grateful to have found such a nurturing and positive environment for him!!
