Why Families Choose Us
“Children don’t just grow — they’re grown, with intention, love, and belief — with aroha, mana, and wairua.”
We’re not your average early learning centre.
Here, experience meets passion — our teachers are deeply committed professionals who don’t just teach; they tune in to every child’s unique rhythm. Every laugh, question, and spark of curiosity matters.
Our relationship-focused curriculum, grounded in manaakitanga (care and respect) and whanaungatanga (strong relationships), builds deep trust and belonging- where care and connection come before correction. Because when children feel seen, they soar.
We’re perfectly placed for families on the go, making drop-offs and pick-ups stress-free. But it’s what happens inside and beyond our gates that sets us apart — a vibrant, culture-rich environment and weekly excursions (yes, even for our tiniest explorers!) that turn learning into living.
With three purposefully designed age-based rooms, we grow alongside your child — nurturing every stage of development, curiosity, and confidence through experiences that build the mind, body, and heart.
Here, every day is a chance to explore, connect, and thrive.
“It takes a village to raise a child — and we’re the village that believes in their limitless potential.”
Learning Rooted in Te Whāriki and Te Whare Tapa Whā
Our curriculum is inspired by New Zealand’s early childhood frameworks, Te Whāriki and Te Whare Tapa Whā, embracing the four dimensions of wellbeing — taha tinana (physical), taha hinengaro (mental), taha whānau (social), and taha wairua (spiritual).
Through this lens, we foster holistic development, helping children grow into curious, capable, and compassionate learners who understand their place in the world.
Spaces Designed for Every Stage
Our environments are age-appropriate and purpose-built, with separate rooms for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
Each learning space opens onto its own outdoor area, offering freedom to explore safely and confidently. Whether it’s a baby’s first crawl, a toddler’s group discovery, or a preschooler’s creative project, every moment is supported by a thoughtful, engaging environment.
Connected to Whānau and Community
We believe that family and community are at the heart of great learning.
Our teachers partner closely with parents and whānau, building relationships of trust and open communication. This ensures that each child’s journey feels consistent, supported, and deeply connected — both at home and at our centre.
Together, we create a place where children truly belong.
High Quality & Affordable
Our high-quality learning programme and purpose-built centre is competitively priced. We also offer 20-hour free ECE programme and WINZ subsidies. For a limited time, we are also offering a free childcare trial. Centre subsidies are also offered. Contact the centre manager for information on this initiative.
Loving and experienced educators
Our people are our biggest investment, and an investment in the future of your family.
Our long-serving educators are passionate, kind, nurturing, positive and motivated individuals. They’re passionate about what they do and who they take care of, celebrating your child’s milestones with you with equal zest. Our educators go above and beyond to create a nurturing and happy place that is vital for your child’s development.
Health, wellbeing and smart food choices
It is vital for children to understand at an early age how the body works and why it is so important to look after it. We explore the makeup of the human body through play-based activities and assist them in understanding about how healthy food choices and physical activity contribute to being a healthy person. We serve children nutritious food made on-premise to cement the importance of health.
Getting ready for school
We have a robust transition to school programme that prepares your little one for the next big thing in their life – primary school. The programme helps build your child’s confidence, encourages independence and social interaction, and introduces structure into their everyday learning. Everything they’ll be doing at school.
Parent Feedback
We were so worried about how daycare would go but everyone at All About Children (formerly known as AE) was so kind and caring with our little one. He became so confident while he was there and was very happy at drop off, so we knew he was being cared for and having fun. We miss you guys!
The staff are friendly and are really engaged with the children. There is a lot of variety in the activities they do and when asked they always say they have had a good day. The luxury of having an on-site chef with such good food is amazing.
Our little family has been part of the Active Explorers Greta Point whānau for almost 5 years now and we wouldn’t have it any other way. The Kaiako are friendly, they are engaging and they value our children’s needs and wants. The classroom spaces and outdoor areas are large.
