At All About Children – Montessori, we provide a well-resourced, nurturing environment tailored to every age and stage of development. Each of our four classrooms is designed to support children’s growth, curiosity, and love of learning. From infants discovering the world around them to older preschoolers preparing for school, our Montessori approach encourages exploration, independence and confidence in a supportive setting.
The Montessori Classroom
The Montessori classroom is usually filled with natural light, with everything from tables, chairs and shelving to washing up stations at child height, so the children can engage freely with all elements of their environment. The Montessori approach makes use of beautiful, brightly coloured learning items made from natural materials – as well as lots of things from every day life, from oranges for juicing to watering cans to take care of the garden.
The Montessori Philosophy
Montessori philosophy believes that children are creating their building blocks for life from the ages of 0 to 6 years and are naturally interested in learning and engaging with what they see around them. Montessori teachers help this process, by initially showing children how activities can be done and then allowing children to explore activities for themselves, and to work with them in their own unique way.
