Inspired, nature-based learning

We believe that children are confident and capable learners. We offer a warm, positive environment that encourages children to learn and grow at every possible opportunity. Play is the foundation of our teaching as the children take the lead on their learning through their most natural form.

We make the most of our Mount Wellington location, expansive outdoor spaces and natural learning materials to get the children close to Mother Nature. Our curriculum also wraps in early introduction to science and arts for holistic development.

Age appropriate learning

We welcome babies from six weeks to school age children and have tailored learning programs for every child. More importantly, through our quality care, we will also give all the comfort that your child needs when you can’t be there.

The nursery section (0-2 years) has some of our most loving and nurturing educators who provide endless cuddles, softly told stories and whispers of all that’s to come. More than any other time in your child’s life so far, the toddler years bring great change and advancement – all experienced in our Toddler Programme (2 – 3.5 years). As your little one progresses ever closer to the world of formal schooling, we try our best to meet their needs in terms of creativity, child-like wonder and imagination, whilst allowing a gentle teaching of early numeracy and literacy to emerge.

A childcare for the whole family

To effectively cater to and nurture each child individually, we start by listening — and we never stop. By working closely with, supporting, and caring for the whole family, our teaching teams are attuned to each child’s unique preferences, learning needs, personality, and development stage.

Parents are a part of every step in their child’s learning, shared through numerous centre events and stories shared on Storypark.

Environment as a teacher

Through carefully considered aesthetic environments, children engage in collaborative long-term investigations where they can construct knowledge through inquiries, explorations and conversations. Open-ended resources and imaginative spaces encourage children to think out-of-the-box and have opportunities to expand and construct their meaning of the surrounding world.

Cultivating a sense of self

When children choose their activity, they are more engaged. An emphasis on self-directed learning allows children to naturally build confidence and independence as they play. In doing this, they also intuitively learn self-mastery and self-discipline across all domains of development — physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and moral.

Enrichment programmes

Learning at All About Children Mount Wellington is further enhanced through our Enrichment Programmes, including Scientific Sparks and Holistic Growth. Early exposure to science fosters critical thinking and problem solving as part of Scientific Sports. In the Holistic Growth programme we blend arts and science for a well-rounded education.
